Meeting to : 7 and 8
Time : 4 hours lesson.
Standard competence : Solve problem about the quadratic function.
Basic of competence : Application the characteristic and roots regulation of quadratic equation, discriminant on solve the problem.
Indicator : - Finding roots of quadratic equation by factoring and abc formula.
- Using discriminant on solve the quadratic equation problem.
- Finding the sum and product of the roots.
Purpose of lesson : With understanding quadratic function concept, expected student able to:
Solve mathematics problem by using regulation of quadratic equation.
Using quadratic equation on daily of life.

Step – step lesson :
A. First meeting :
First activity : - Teacher come to the class and say greeting.
- Pray together with the student.
- Teacher check the attendance list.
- Teacher gives an illustration about the material.
Main activity : With lecture and discuss method teacher explain about to find the roots from quadratic equation by using three methods. Then student solve the question to finding roots of quadratic equation.
Last activity : Together with student make a conclusion about the lesson.
B. Secondly meeting :
First activity : - Teacher come to the class and say greeting.
- Pray together with the student.
- Teacher check the attendance list.
- Review the material on pass meeting.
- Teacher gives an illustration about the material.
Main activity : With lecture and discuss method teacher explain about discriminant of quadratic equation, the sum and product of the roots. Then student solve the question to finding discriminant, the sum and product of quadratic equation.
Last activity : Together with student make a conclusion about the lesson.

5. If x1 and x2 are roots of the quadratic equation 3x2 + 2x + 5 = 0, then find the value of:
a. x1 + x2 b. x1 . x2 c. 1/x_1 + 1/x_2
